Hi there!! My name is Marin and I am OFFICIALLY a second semester Phi Beta Chi member. I could not be more thrilled that I had the opportunity to join my first semester of my freshman year. SO much has happened in such a short amount of time and my heart is so full of love and thankfulness for my sisters.
My first Bid Day as a PNM was absolutely thrilling and overwhelming. My pledge sisters and I were greeted with a porch full of screaming, smiling faces chanting about how they were so excited to be our new sorority fam. We were then led into the beautiful PBX house (OUR new house wow!) and given matching shirts and other goodies! Acapella groups performed for us and the hype seemed to never end!! Also, my new sisters LOVED dancing and jamming out with each other, which to me pretty much sealed the deal on the whole thing. Between my Bid Day and this recent spring Bid Day, I have met some of my really good friends here at Carolina, have gone to tons of fantastic functions, and have been encouraged in my constant walk with God so much by my sisters. It has definitely created a sweet circle of people among the vast student body here at Carolina.
Experiencing another Bid Day as an active sister was truly special as we gave our beautiful, radiant new sisters the same excitement as we received when we received our bids. It was so awesome to be able to be on the other side of the process and prepare for their arrival. I can’t wait to get to know these new sisters and make it their ‘home away from home’ as it has been for me.
